Character Description: Fed up with the human race, Hal left the earth with
some aliens he met at work. Now Hal leave in space and on different worlds.
He is looking for something that cannot be found.
He's looking for a perfect world in an imperfect universe.
Hal may not seem too bright at times. It's not that he's stupid, it's just that
he doesn't know anything about the galaxy he lives in.
He is brave sometimes, but usually not. Hal tries to stay optimistic about things, which isn't easy.
From experience with living and traveling in space, Hal is growing less trusting in others.
Character Description: Liz was found on an alien space ship by Hal. Most of her mind was taken by
the aliens so she has no memory of her life on earth. Not much, anyway. Liz is less optimistic than
Hal, and easily annoyed. She too is just trying to find a place where she can live and be happy.
But she is not easily content. Liz is tough and knows how to take care of herself. Hal and Liz
don't always get along too well. Sometimes they only get along because they are the only ones of their
species around for light-years. Other times they don't get along for the same reason.
Character Description: Whichway's main functions are piloting and navigation, though he is
programed for conversation, data storage, and to be good company on long journeys. Hal bought
Whichway with the space ship at a used space ship yard on Pofsha. Hal and Whichway have become
somewhat like friends. Hal finds him easy to talk to and get along with. Whichway also finds
Hal interesting because He is the first owner to treat Whichway more like a person than a
machine. Whichway is programed to always be in a good mood. This is encouraging to Hal but
annoying to Liz. Whichway never complains and is content wherever he is, at least, that's
how he acts.
Description: Mooch was picked up by Hal and Liz while on a brief stop on the planet
Ragmez.
Mooch is content so long as there is plenty of food and he does not have to do any of the work.
Mooch was meant to be just be a passenger until they found a good place to drop him off, but he
somehow stayed longer than was originally planned and became part of the crew. Hal and Mooch do
not get along very well most of the time. Mooch may not be the nicest person to be around, but
he's not a bad guy, really.
Character Description: Ninvrv was born on a space ship and Pinvrv
was born on some planet they were on at the time. Neither of the Kimlups
have ever seen their home planet Kinvia or have any desire to. Ninvrv and
Pinvrv are brothers who once lived with another group of traveling Kimlups,
but when that group grew too large they split up and went separate ways.
Ninvrv and Pinvrv became the captains of their own great ship.
Hal and Liz where picked up by the Kimlups after escaping from the
Gleshni.
Hal unknowingly brought a dangerous space creature onto the Kimlups' ship.
Their ship was destroyed but they all made it safely to
Pofsha.
Ninvrv blames Hal for the loss of their ship and near loss of their lives.
Pinvrv is more forgiving and understanding.
Character Description: Kervtow lives with the other Kimlups that saved Hal and Liz.
He is intreged by new species and fasinated by the two humans. He is very friendly to them
and loves to teach them old Kimlup games and tell them things of their history. He is equally
happy to hear about humans and their world. Hal saved Kervtow from the
Shonn that destroyed the Kimlup ship.
Description: Kerwinchon and Sattrutak were both heirs to be rulers
of YooY Re II (the twelfth planet of the Karproprian empire). They got
too eager and tried to overthrow their father, but failed. Rather than
have them killed, their father gave them the milder punishment of being
banished from the Karproprian empire. A new heir was appointed. Now
Kerwinchon and Sattrutak travel the galaxy, surviving in any way they
can. They have made a vow never to kill each other.
Description: This ziggn left his colony in his young stivv cycle
to spite his elders and peer who said that a ziggn such as himself
could never, and should never, live on his own. Vggleg was always
hot-tempered for a ziggn. Now he is one of the greatest criminals
in the galaxy, possibly the most dangerous too. He loves to blow
things up and to start fights. He was captured once and locked
away in the maximum security prison of Gringwownow, but he somehow
managed to escape.

Description: A Galaxy Patroller. Blanna is Kibdribblib's
partner, mostly because nobody else wanted to be. Blanna
doesn't mind. One of her roommates in patrolling school
was a Dilidlibil, so she's use to them. Blanna sometimes
wonders why she chose this line of work. She could have
been anything she wanted to be. She was the smartest in her class.
Description: Kibdribblib takes his job as a Galaxy Patroller
more seriously than Blanna, though other patrollers doubt and mock
his capabilities. Sense his demotion to patrol the Baneek region,
Kib has grown to resent headquarters. He believes that he was set
up to fail his last mission.
