I think, for me, it's easier to make a somewhat funny comic than it is to make a serious one. I'm better at drawing cartooney people and creatures. But sometimes I want to make a more serious comic, with a more dramatic story. But if I tried to make something more serious it probably wouldn't invoke the emotion I was aiming for and would not be taken serious. Perhaps it's better to do something that looks silly than to do something serious and look even sillier. But, if you never try something you never know if you can do it. I would like to do something sometime that would make people think more than just "heh, that's funny."
So, even though Space Losers is mostly for fun and to be funny, I may try something a little more serious every once in a while, but still with humorous bits. ~D.W.
